Privacy Policy

1. What this covers

This policy explains what information BingDash collects when you use BingDrop, why we collect it, and how it's handled. It applies to customers and couriers alike unless otherwise noted.

2. Information we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and (for couriers) transportation method and approval status.

Order information: the confirmation screenshot you upload for a delivery, and the order details our system extracts from it (merchant name, order number, pickup name) using an AI vision service.

Location information: for couriers, we collect live location only while you have an active delivery in progress, so customers and our dispatch system can track it. We don't track courier location outside of an active delivery.

Payment information: payments are processed directly by Stripe. BingDash never receives or stores your full card number — we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and metadata like the amount.

Communications: messages sent between a customer and courier for a specific delivery, and anything you submit through the in-app support or feedback form.

Usage information: basic technical data needed to run the service, such as IP address (used for abuse and rate-limit protection) and device/browser information.

3. How we use your information

• To operate the core service: matching customers with couriers, tracking deliveries, and processing payments and courier payouts.
• To verify order details from your uploaded screenshot.
• To communicate with you about your account, a delivery, or a support request.
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service, including rate-limiting and account enforcement.
• To improve the reliability of the platform (for example, understanding why a delivery failed).

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Who we share it with

We share the minimum information necessary with the service providers that power BingDrop:

• Stripe — payment processing and courier payouts.
• Supabase — our database, authentication, and file storage provider.
• OpenAI — processes uploaded order screenshots to extract order details. Screenshots are sent for extraction only, not used to train models on our behalf.
• Mapbox — powers the live delivery map.
• Vercel — hosts the application.

During an active delivery, a customer and their assigned courier can see limited information about each other (first name, last initial, and — for couriers — rating and transportation method) so the handoff can happen safely. We don't share your full profile with other users.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of our users or the integrity of the platform.

5. Data retention

We keep account and delivery records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after, to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs (for example, payment records related to a completed delivery). You can request deletion of your account as described below.

6. Your choices

You can access or update most of your account information directly in the app. To request a copy of your data or to delete your account, email bingdash101@gmail.com. We'll process deletion requests within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain certain records (like payment history) for legal or accounting reasons.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encrypted connections, access controls on our database, and a payment processor (Stripe) that is PCI-compliant — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

8. Cookies

BingDrop uses only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the service securely. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

9. Children's privacy

BingDrop is intended for users 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
